What We Inspect and Why

A home inspection is a visual examination of the home's major structure, systems, and components that are visible and safely accessible. Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's important to get a home inspection because the inspector can find and document defects that may or may not be obvious to you as a prospective buyer.  Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.

  1. Interior, exterior, walls, windows, and doors

  2. HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)

  3. Basement, crawlspace, and structure

  4. Fireplace

  5. Roof and attic

  6. Electrical

  7. Plumbing

Meet Your Inspector

DJ MOYLAN

When I grew up, my parents were both in real estate, so I've been around the industry for a long while and although I haven't practiced real estate, I've done a ton of other industry related careers.

After 40 years, I'm still doing some Glasswork, Ive been an Electrician, a Handyman contractor, I'm selling crawlspace Robots, an InterNACHI chapter head, involved in Auburn Leadership, a Commercial & Residential Property Inspector, and trying to be a good husband to the most beautiful woman alive.

I enjoy tinkering, cars, paddle boarding, and living here in the foothills. I moved to Colorado for 27 years, but came back to my home state to be with my family and all that California has to offer.

I opened up my own Inspections business in 2020 after 7 years in the business. Things began a little rough with Covid, but I know the skies the limit!!!

My Promise

Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals you hire, you probably won't meet me until our appointment. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and pricing.

Ultimately, a thorough home inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort. If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your new home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort.

This, I promise you.
